Spring Break

This week is going to be pretty fun! To start off Spring Break, I am doing an event at my church called Passion Mime. We dress in all black and paint our faces white like mimes. On Friday the 10th we are doing a play no more like a reinactment, of Jesus dying on the cross. I think it will be very fun to look like a mime. My friend Jordan is being Jesus and I am being the Priest.


On Saturday I am going out driving with my sister in law. I am trying to get some hours in so we are going to go driving and practice some parking.


On Easter Sunday we are having family over. After dinner my brother and I are going to spend a week with my sister and brother in law. We are going to do many things up in Kalamazoo.

Pet Peeves

1. My biggest pet peeve is when people think they are better than others. I think you should be yourself, try to be outgoing and enjoy life to the fullest!
2. I don't mind when people swear but when they just have a rampage its dumb. Whats the point in swearing? I mean its funny when Mr.Fielder swears but when people are mad or something they just have a storm...it doesnt solve your problems.
3. Do you have little brothers or sisters, or even older? Well my brothers and sisters always steal my things without asking. It kinda makes me mad when I go to get it and its not there.

5. Phone calls at like midnight or very early like 8 when im trying to sleep in
6. People not being able to drive
7. My mother changing the radio station to her crappy oldies
8. My dad thinking hes cool around my friends
9. The kid I babysit has ADHD and so does his dog so they are absolutely crazy and both don't listen..I make money tho!! haha
10. People bragging about a B and up on geometry, and world history tests
11. Big Boy on channel 955!!! ugh...gross!

13. People not caring about the world. Its going to end sooner from not taking care of it.

15. Teachers giving homework on the weekend, after tests, on big breaks, or the week of finals. UGH.

MSU Spartans Basketball

I first of all want to say go SPARTANS!! Residents of Michigan State University, Lansing, East Lansing and neighboring communities are invited to salute the Spartans as they hit the road to the Final Four. The team bus carrying Head Coach Tom Izzo and the Michigan State Spartan Basketball team to Detroit will depart from the Breslin Center at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1.

Spartan fans are encouraged to put on their green and white gear and line the sidewalks along the route. The bus will depart from the tunnel of the Breslin Center travel north on Harrison Road to the Michigan Avenue intersection. The team bus will then travel through downtown East Lansing on Grand River Avenue to Okemos Road. The Bus will turn right on Okemos Road and head to I-96.

Michigan State is AMAZING and I told everyone (including Mr.Fielder :) ) they are going to make it all the way and its going to happen! My brother goes to MSU and he will be on Okemos Rode. Its quite fun up there and this game is going to be an exciting one!

Basketball

Ljal Basketball has started on Tuesday for me and its mighty fun! ha ha My coach is Danielles dad but we only have like 9 girls, but thats better because we will have more playing time. Our team name is Jay Hawks and we are red, white, and blue. Our team is pretty awesome!! :) I am most likely going to be defense because I love the rebounds! Our first game is already next week on wednesday..Im pretty excited.

Killing of 3 or more

In Wisconsin a Michigan man faces life in prison after being convicted Thursday of killing three teens and trying to kill six others when he emerged from the woods and opened fire on a popular swimming hole near the Wisconsin-Michigan border last summer. Scott J. Johnson from Michigan was scheduled for trial March 16 but changed his plea and had all 10 charges against him. He was convicted of three counts of first-degree intentional homicide, each carrying a life prison term, plus six counts of attempted first-degree intentional homicide and one count of second-degree sexual assault. Judge Tim Duket will decide at a sentencing hearing May 21 whether Johnson will ever be eligible for parole. He told Johnson he could face a maximum of three life terms plus 445 years. He was not smart at all for doing this. To tell you the truth I don't even remembering this happening!

Dancing With The Stars

Los Angelos pop star Jewel and TV host Nancy O'Dell have dropped out of Dancing With the Stars. Both women have injuries from training for the show that prevent them from continuing the competition. Jewel was diagnosed with a fractured tibia in both legs, while Nancy O'Dell will need surgery to repair a torn knee cartilage. A replacement for at least one of the women may be announced during Monday's season premiere. I feel bad for these women and the trainers need to be a little more concerned becasue they lost two people that they need to replace.

T.V.

According to Nielsen Co. Americans are watching way too much television. Americans averaged 151 hours of TV during the fourth quarter of 2008. We have watched 146 hours during the same period last year. People just love their tv shows and now that we have dvr or TiVo we watch even more!!

Starvation in Africa

Millions of people in Africa region are facing starvation because of failed harvests and the global increases in the price of food, an aid agency warned today. ActionAid said the situation in Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Eritrea and Djibouti could become catastrophic if action was not taken. Last week, the poverty fighting organisation Concern Worldwide warned that millions of people in Ethiopia were facing starvation. The country's February harvest failed due to the worst drought in years.
The Ethiopian government estimates that 4.6million people need emergency food aid. Africa usually get two rainy seasons a year but many areas have had a lot of rainfall for more than 12 months. Some rain has fallen in the region recently but the charity said it was either too little or too late to ensure a harvest later this year.The drought arrived at the same time as the global increases in the price of food, fuel and fertiliser.
They need to start growing crops elswhere so that they have food to eat year round!

Starvation

30 hour Famine

Over Friday and Saturday, my church St. Colette (youth group,) is conducting an event that I'm going to- 30 hour famine. We won't be eating from 4' o clock p.m. Friday until 10' o clock p.m. Saturday. We are going out bowling, and then going back to our youth center and playing video games, sports, watching movies, and other fun activities. We will be sleeping there and getting up Saturday and doing other scheduled events. As it gets towards 10:00 we will be rapping everything up. After the 30 hours has gone by we will be having a big feast! We will have fun and enjoy the weekend!!

Summer of '09

This summer I'm going to have a BLAST!! I am going to Kalamazoo to spend a month or more with my sister, her fiance, and my nephew. I get to help babysit my nephew Cole and other kids while my sister goes to her evening classes. This is going to be a great opportunity to spend time with my baby nephew and actually be able to see my sister and her fiance. I will be coming home every once in awhile to see some friends, and to see my family. I am so EXCITED.

If all goes well this summer, I might be spending my sophomore year out in K-Zoo. I will be transferring to the local school and coming home twice a month since it is 2 hours away. I will miss my friends but I will be helping out my sister and she will feel more protected while her fiance is gone over seas busy being a marine!

Chris Brown

On Saturday Night, Chris Brown turned himself into the Los Angeles Police. Chris had a fight with his girlfriend Rihanna. He is sad to have physical abused her. She left the hotel with bruises and a broken nose. Chris Brown and Rihanna did not show up at the Grammy Awards either. He has flown out of Vegas, and went to Sin Citys Hard Rock Hotel. He has not been in public since, but the hotel kicked the papparazzi out.

Economy

In January 2009, we have expirenced a miracle! We have sworn in our FIRST african american president, Barack Obama. Our economy has been suffering for a while now and many people are losing their jobs, homes, cars, and money. Will Obama help save our country from our debt? Can he help protect us at the same time? Michigan is at the top of the list in united states for the highest unemployment rate with 9.6. We are going to need a miracle to bring this country back to Earth!

To Write Love on Her Arms Day is non-profit movement dedicated to finding hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA (????) exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.

Jonas Brothers at Grammy's

The Jonas Brothers are not shy about dressing up for special occasions. They were some of the best-dressed guys in January. And for an occasion as special as this Sunday's Grammy's, where they are up for Best New Artist, the band's stylist, promises that their outfit will definitely reflect each brothers very individual style.

A big night like this requires a lot of work, and although their stylist hasn't finished the Jonas Brothers entire outfit, she did have their red-carpet look already in mind. She says that definitely on the red carpet, it's going to be tuxedos. She says that the guys always set out to be fashion icons and take dressing for events very seriously. And when she goes to pick looks for them, she considers their individual personalities.

For Kevin, she takes into account the fact that he's the oldest of the three guys. So Kevin likes to be the most dressed up and grown up.

Meanwhile, middle brother Joe is the more adventurous of the group. Joe likes to wear the more colorful clothes and be sassy with his clothes. She also says that Joe has the ability to wear untraditional looks. Purple is the new Pink!!

Finally, although Nick is young, he has a more traditional look. He definitely has a more gentlemanly feel about him. Even though he looks fashionable, he's more comfortable about the way he looks.

I personally think each Jonas Brother stands out with their personality, and I think that's what makes them look good.

Grammy Awards-Country

Country singing bands Sugarland and Taylor Swift, have been added to the list of performers at the Grammy Awards on Sunday-Feb. 8, in Los Angeles. Sugarland is nominated for best country performance from a duo or group with vocals for the album Stay and best country music with Life in a Northern Town. Taylor Swift will also join Miley Cyrus, for a performance. Other artists performing on the show include Kenny Chesney, Kid Rock, Carrie Underwood, and Robert Plant and Allison Krauss.

Country Clothes

Country star Taylor Swift has decided to team up with Jone's Apparel Group's L.E.I brand to create new sundresses. The dresses will launch in Walmart and will cost less especially in these hard times. She wants to make fashionable, cute dresses that young girls can appreciate. She doesn't plan on becoming a full time designer but she will surely enjoy this. In the meantime, Toby Keith is designing his own t-shirts, pants, and accessories. The Beer For My Horses singer will start selling TK Steelman hats, shirts, jeans and belts at his I Love This Bar & Grill in Las Vegas on February 18th.
